Arbaaz Khan to direct Dabangg sequel

Well, we are sure that you all will be waiting with bated breath to know the status of the sequel of the smash hit film Dabangg. So are we. Well, the news is finally out that it's not Abhinav Kashyap, but Arbaaz Khan himself who will be directing the much awaited sequel, thus marking his directorial debut!

News has it that, there were some differences between the Khan brothers and Abhinav Kashyap. What happened was that, Arbaaz received a SMS from Abhinav stating that he won't be directing the sequel. Meanwhile, Arbaaz did not deny the 'differences' aspect between Abhinav and him over a couple of weeks. Arbaaz also said that it was strange that Abhinav, rather than coming personally, sent him just a SMS telling him about him not directing the sequel.

Abhinav's exit has now paved an entry to Arbaaz Khan, who will now be donning the director's cap. On a lighter note, one is reminded of Salman Khan's famous statement in the film 'Ab tak nahlaaya tha... ab dhoonugaa". In the same breath, Arbaaz Khan can now say, 'Ab tak film produce lkiya tha... ab direct karoonga'! What say, Arbaaz Dabangg Khan.

Katrina no more RCB's brand ambassador

Actress Katrina Kaif has stepped down as the brand ambassador of Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore because she feels she will not be able to do justice to her responsibilities towards the team due to the IPL-4 matches clashing with her shooting schedule.

The Banglaore IPL team had extended her appointment as the brand ambassador for seasons three and four, but she is unable to continue as she would be shooting for Yash Raj Film's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan during IPL-4 beginning April 8.

The film's shooting is in Agra and, therefore, it won't be possible for her to make appearances to support the team and hence the decision to step down as brand ambassador, a press statement said.
"Katrina Kaif is a thorough professional and believes in giving her 100 percent to all her commitments. She is an avid sport's enthusiast and wanted to be present for all of the team's matches to cheer them on," said a source.

"However, since she will be shooting during IPL-4, she has decided to opt out of the Royal Challengers since she wouldn't be doing justice to them," the source added.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial debut and Katrina has teamed up with actor Imran Khan and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar in the movie.

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is scheduled to release worldwide in July.

Justin Bieber's 17th Birthday Bash: What Would You Plan?

Justin Bieber is about to reach another milestone in his life: On Tuesday (March 1), the teen star turns 17. Already, he's had hit albums and singles, a world tour and a successful concert documentary, so he definitely has a reason to celebrate. As he gears up for the fun, We asked some party planners to weigh in on what kind of bash they would throw for the pop superstar. "I think, knowing that he's such a fan of purple, I would create a purple Willy Wonka fantasy party," said Bruce Starr, who works at BMF Media Group in New York. "I think we'd do it in L.A. on a studio lot and have the Oompa Loompas in purple. We'd recreate this extravagant fantasy world."

Starr said he'd have a female DJ on the decks, but also would have some musical surprises up his sleeve. "We'd have a surprise stage, and without telling him, work with his friends and have them do surprise sets for him," he explained. "The party would have just friends and family, about 250 or 300 or 400 people tops - really intimate." There would even be a fan element to the party. "I think we would do huge screens for all the people who couldn't be there. We'd have surprise music videos from them, and throughout the candy land, there'd be screens with tweets from his fans," he added.

Taylor Choi, event consultant for Gansevoort Hotel Group, explained that she'd have the perfect Big Apple hot spot for the party. "For him, I would do something more fun and exciting," she mused. "I would do more like bowling or video games, some sort of 3-D type party with more technology-type stuff for him."

So, what types of social media would that include? "A social-media kiosk where people can take photos," she explained. "I would do karaoke and do something more fun and interactive. I would have a fun DJ and a fun live performance because a performance would be fun."

As for the venue, Choi said: "If he was in New York, I would throw it in the Gansevoort Park Avenue where we could do a 3-D installation. We can do a performance over the pool. We would deck it out for him with three floors. I'd serve cupcakes, hot dogs, burgers."I would have like 200 of his closest friends," she added. "I would definitely do 3-D stuff. He'd have fun with a small group of friends: private, intimate, nothing too crazy. Have his friends perform a song for him."While it seems these planners would throw elaborate bashes for the star, Bieber recently revealed that he's hoping for a low-key affair.

"I only have, like, four days, so I'm just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on March 4,  so just going to mentally prepare and just relax," Bieber explained. "No birthday bash. Hopefully my grandparents will be out here, and I'll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake -cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday."

How do you think Justin Bieber should celebrate his 17th birthday? Tell us your ideas below!

Ranveer - Anushka: Not on dating terms

Ranveer Singh is overdramatic and psychotic", "God, help the person who dates Anushka Sharma. She is too demanding." This is the manner in which the new 'it' couple of Bollywood respond when asked if they are seeing each other. Tired of clearing the air about their relationship, Sharma says, "I have sworn on my movie Band Baaja Baarat that he and I are not dating. There isn't bigger proof I can give," says Sharma.

Confirming his co-star's remarks, Singh says they are not even "civil" with each other. "Our relationship is such that we are unabashedly taking each other's case, tearing each other's hair out if we happen to spend even fifteen minutes at a stretch in one room," says Singh.

Retorting to Singh's remarks, Sharma says, "Someone who is so self-absorbed is going to find the other person demanding. He keeps to himself most of the time. He is not a person who will ask his girlfriend about her day and if she is okay or not. Hats off to the girl who is ever going to date him."
While it may seem like this relationship is more hate than love, Sharma points out that she doesn't blame him for his unsavoury comments about her.

"He is in a stage of his life where everything is new. It will take him two years to settle down. It took me that much time to realise the ways of the industry and what was happening around me."
The couple, who shared intimate chemistry in their last movie, will be seen together once again this year in Yash Raj Films Ricky Bahl Vs Ladies, albeit in a different avatar. While Singh will be playing a charming con man who makes a living by fooling young women, Sharma will drive him up the wall.

Both actors are currently working out to sport western looks for their film. Sharma says, "My styling in the film is very boho grunge, really cool. For the films I was doing last year, I didn't need to be in any particular shape so I wasn't concentrating on my body. But for this film, I need to be sexy."

Jennifer Lopez sets 'Idol' stage for music video

Pop diva and actress Jennifer Lopez is all set to premiere the video for her new single 'On The Floor' on an episode of 'American Idol'. The 'Waiting for Tonight' hitmaker, who is also a judge on the US reality talent show alongside Randy Jackson and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, will appear in her 'On The Floor' video during the broadcast on March 3.
The 41-year-old beauty said she is "wild and crazy" but "sexy and sweet too" in her latest pop offering, reported MTV News. "I play one character where she kind of runs this party, acts like she's kind of over it, but at the same time loves it and loves this kind of underground kind of party dance culture. So I got to be wild and crazy, and at the same time I got to be sexy and sweet too," she said.
Lopez also explained what the song means to her, saying she loves it because it reminds her of her younger self striving for success. "I really feel like, emotionally, I connected to it, but also because of how much I love to dance and how much that's always been such a big part of who I am since I started. Since I was a little girl, I just totally connected with the idea of getting out there."
